ClassPass, Yoga, and Finding My Calm in This City

Miami is loud, fast, colorful, chaotic, and distracting. Yoga is the opposite. It’s the only place where I’m not thinking about anything else, not my phone, not my to-do list, nothing. Just breath, heat, music, and movement.

Lately I’ve been using ClassPass to hop around different yoga studios all over Miami, and honestly… it’s becoming one of my favorite parts of the week. Something about practicing in new spaces and casually socializing with other yogis just feels so good.

Miami yoga studios are expensive. Let’s not lie. But ClassPass lets me sample everything without committing to one place or paying $25–$35 per class. I get variety, I get community, I get a workout, I get peace… and somehow it’s fitting into my budget.

So the membership I’m on gives me a certain number of credits per month. Different studios charge different amounts. Some classes cost 5–7 credits, Others (like the hot yoga studios) cost 11–14, And anything super bougie or niche is even higher.

My plan is around $75–$90/month and I get about 22 credits per month. With 22 credits, I can go to two yoga classes per week which is more than enough for me. Whatever credits I don’t use can be rolled over into the next month. It’s budgeting but for vibes and variety. Different yoga studios have different vibes and serve different needs!

If I want to sweat everything out, Wynwood Yoga studio is the spot. The room is blazing hot and we start every class with our legs up on the wall. Every class is like a reset button. I walk out drenched and leave feeling like a brand new person. I took one of my sisters to a class before and she said it really boosted her mood.

Amaya Yoga in North Miami Beach is such a vibe. Aerial yoga lowkey forces you to trust trust the hammock, which is hilarious because I’m always like um, is this fabric really going to hold me up? But it’s so fun, so different from regular workouts, and it makes me feel strong in a way I’m not used to.

It helps you build your upper core plus you get a really deep stretch in. The energy is so playful, supportive, and super welcoming. It’s the kind of class where you walk in nervous and walk out feeling like you just unlocked a new version of yourself!

Casa D Yoga in Cooper City is where I go for restorative, healing-style yoga. It’s not stimulating, just deeply relaxing. It’s my “I need softness today” studio.

After my car accident last year, I was doing physical therapy and practicing here too because the classes were gentle on my body and really supportive. It’s smaller, calmer, and has that comforting, safe feel.

Whenever life feels chaotic or I’m too sore, weak, or hurting to do anything intense, this is the place I go.

So yeah, every studio has its own vibe, and that’s what I love about it. It keeps things interesting, keeps me consistent, and honestly keeps me sane. Yoga is becoming a real staple for me.
